Comments from some of our previous students:

Begum whiteheadI have absolutely loved my placement at Prendergast School. The staff are so supportive and helpful and it has been a great environment to grow my teaching practice. This was my first experience of working in a school and it has been a fantastic opportunity where I have learnt so much.

I couldn’t have asked for a more welcoming school as my very first placement. The support and CPD that I received at Prendergast was fantastic, and I thoroughly enjoyed my time there, gaining some great experience at the start of my teaching career and I can now go into my next school feeling confident with everything I have learned so far.

Ruby Williams - PGCE Chemistry, Kings College 2020/1

I was so pleased with the support I received during my School Direct salaried teacher training year at Prendergast School. The teachers modelled outstanding practice and gave me lots of encouraging feedback which I learnt from. I had the best mentor I could have asked for and I feel well prepared for my NQT year.

My placement at Prendergast School provided me with the perfect start to my teacher training. All the staff I worked with were incredibly supportive and provided me with invaluable advice and guidance throughout my time at the school. I left Prendergast feeling confident and well-prepared for my teaching career.  I will be taking up a position as an NQT at Prendergast in September.

I have thoroughly enjoyed my time at Prendergast School. The art department has been very welcoming and supportive. The school has a positive, relaxed yet professional atmosphere which clearly rubs off on its wonderful pupils. I’ve had great experiences being involved with some of the many extra-curricular activities the school offers.

I found Prendergast had really friendly, supportive staff who helped me find my feet and develop to cope with the challenges of teaching. We also benefited from the regular CPD sessions and discussions with the other ITTs and NQTs here. There’s lots of opportunity here to interact with colleagues.
