Admission to Prendergast Sixth Form - September 2026

We look forward to welcoming sixth form offer holders to a Q&A session in school on Monday 27th April 5.00-6.00pm. Look out for an email before the Easter break with information on how to book your ticket. Note: this is a repeat session, please do not book a ticket if you have already attended a Q&A session.

We welcome applications from Year 11 students from the Leathersellers' Federation of Schools and from external applicants. For information about our curriculum offer, minimum entry requirements and subject course requirements, please see our KS5 Subject Handbook 2026-28.

All students seeking admission to the Sixth Form must achieve the minimum entry criteria for entry into the sixth form.

At Prendergast Sixth Form the minimum entry criteria is a GCSE Average Points Score (APS) of at least 5.2 (best 8 subjects) if they wish to study A Levels.  Students should also meet the subject requirements for access onto specific courses. 

If a student does not achieve an APS of 5.2, they will be able to follow a BTEC programme.  BTEC courses require an APS of 4.2 (best 8 subjects), along with the subject requirements for access onto specific courses.  Students need to have achieved at least a grade 4 in Mathematics and English Language to enrol in the Sixth Form.
