School Uniform and Equipment

 

Students at Prendergast School are expected to follow the uniform code at all times.

Items of regulation style must be obtained from the school suppliers mentioned above. Please note, prices may vary at times between the two suppliers.

All uniform must be labelled with the student’s name.

Uniform list

All students will be expected to have the following school uniform:

• School blazer with school badge on the breast pocket
• Navy blue regulation school knee-length skirt or navy blue regulation school trousers
• Long or short sleeved plain white shirt with a collar for tie
• School tie - Lower School or Upper School Pattern  (clip on only)
• Long sleeved navy V-necked pullover with white bands *
• White, black or navy socks or plain black, navy or flesh tone tights must be worn throughout the year

Other uniform items:

• Outdoor coats, that must be PLAIN dark navy blue or black, not denim and no other colour, should be worn to and from school. (Coats should not have logos on them.)
• Plain navy, white or black scarf*

(* optional)

Footwear:

• Plain brown, black or navy low-heeled shoes. (Ballet pumps and the like are not suitable nor are trainers/plimsolls and other canvas shoes, converse or boots) 

PE uniform (compulsory):

PE kit from suppliers:

• Navy blue pleated wrap-over skirt
• White crested polo shirt
• Navy blue shorts
• Navy blue crested sweatshirt

PE kit obtainable anywhere:

• Trainers with non-marking soles
• Football boots (optional), astro turf boots (optional)
• Navy blue, black or white football socks
• Navy blue tracksuit trousers
• A bag suitable to carry sports kit

PE items (optional):

• Navy blue crested fleece jacket (not compulsory but may be worn for games only in cold weather)
• Navy blue wet jacket (not compulsory but recommended)

Appearance:

Prendergast School takes pride in the appearance of its students.

• All students in Years 7 to 11 are expected to wear the uniform in the correct manner
• Skirts must be worn at an appropriate knee length
• Shirts must be tucked into the skirt/trousers and worn with a tie
• Pullovers/jumpers should not be tucked into skirt/trousers
• Muslim students who wish to cover their hair should wear a plain navy or black scarf
• Hair bands should be plain navy, black or white
• There must be no bandanas worn

Jewellery:

• One small single stud or sleeper (with no stones) in each ear lobe
• One inexpensive wrist watch
• No other jewellery or facial piercing is allowed

Make up should not be worn, this includes false nails and false eyelashes

Hair colouring should be natural

Bags may be any colour
