Prendergast Sixth Form celebrates another year of exceptional A Level success

Prendergast Sixth Form is proud to announce another outstanding set of A Level and BTEC results for the 2025 academic year. These results reflect the determination, ambition and talent of our students, supported every step of the way by our dedicated staff.

This year, 33 percent of all exam results were graded A* to A, and 64 percent of all grades achieved were A* to B. These impressive outcomes continue to place Prendergast among the top performing sixth forms both locally and nationally.

Headteacher, Kelly Lovegrove, said:

“We are incredibly proud of all of our students for another fantastic set of results.  These results once again highlight the determination and resilience our students have demonstrated throughout their academic journey at Prendergast School. Thank you to our staff for all they have done to support our wonderful young people.  Well done to all of our students, and we wish you all the best for your future.”

The Class of 2025 includes many students who achieved straight A*s, some A*s and As, and several attaining Distinction* and Distinction in vocational qualifications. There are too many to name, however, some of the notable achievers include Loki, Isabelle, Olivia, Hana, Eva, Tallulah, Niamh, Conrad, Astrid, Iris, Georgie, Zara, Miles, Ola and Nerea.

This year saw a particularly strong performance from students applying to the most competitive universities. A significant number of students secured offers to Oxford and Cambridge, with many going on to meet or exceed their offers on results day. Students are also celebrating places at other world class institutions including the London School of Economics, Imperial College London, UCL, King’s College London, University of Bristol, University of Warwick, University of Manchester, University of Edinburgh, University of Nottingham, University of Bath, University of Exeter and many more.

In addition to these university successes, several students have secured highly competitive paid degree apprenticeships, reflecting Prendergast’s commitment to supporting diverse and ambitious pathways beyond Sixth Form.

Nathan Mealor, Head of Sixth Form, added:

“This has been an exceptional year, not just in terms of grades but in the breadth of opportunities our students are moving on to. Whether it is Oxbridge, other Russell Group universities, creative arts colleges or degree apprenticeships, each destination reflects an individual journey shaped by hard work and determination. We are proud of every single student and we know they will make their mark in the years ahead.”

As our students embark on the next stage of their journeys, in further study, training or the workplace, Prendergast School remains committed to fostering excellence, ambition and a lifelong love of learning.
