Fantastic GCSE Results 2025
Following on from our brilliant results for Prendergast Sixth Form, the school is pleased to announce another set of fantastic results for GCSE. We are thrilled that our students have once again achieved an excellent set of results, showing continuous improvement across all subjects. We are incredibly proud of them and wish to congratulate them all for all of their hard work.
80% of students achieved a grade 4 and above in English and Maths and 73% at 5 and above. 92% of all students achieved a 4+ in English and 82% of our students achieved a 4+ in Maths. Achievement in the EBACC (English Baccalaureate) at 5+ has continued to improve significantly and at 65% continues to once again be well above national.
34% of all entries gained a grade 8/9 (A*) and 54% of all entries gained a grade 7 (A) or above. We are proud of all of our students. However, we have once again had some exceptional individual performances. A phenomenal 43 students gained at least 8 grades at 7-9 for their GCSEs. Amaanah, Ciara and Jessica all achieved nine grade 9s each among their grades. Lily achieved 12 grade 8’s and 9’s, and Leila and Zoe all achieved 11 grade 8s and 9s.
Emilia, Isabelle, Carmen and Clara all achieved ten or more grade 8s and 9s, and Jessica, Avril, Lola, Amania, Amirha, Phoebe, Marianne, Zoe and Destiny all achieved nine or more grade 8s and 9s. There are, of course, many more cases of good performance and we look forward to celebrating these results with the students.
Kelly Lovegrove, Headteacher, said “Congratulations to all students on your outstanding achievements! We are incredibly proud of each of you. These excellent results are a testament to the continued hard work, dedication, and belief of both our students and staff. We look forward to continuing this journey with many of you as you begin the next stage of your educational career in the Prendergast Sixth Form. Well done, on such an amazing set of results!”
