Joanna McMahon

Joanna currently works as a Senior Strategic Business Manager in the Finance Business Development team at Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust (LGT). Before my move to LGT in 2019, she worked in the Clinical Education Team at London Ambulance for over 16 years.   Joanna has lived in SE London all her life, and have one, hopefully soon to be two daughters at a Federation school. She has been continually impressed by the focus not just on results but student wellbeing and happiness.  Joanna has previous Governor experience, having sat as parent governor for four years at her daughter’s primary school. Taking a break to complete a master’s in public Sector Management she is keen to take on this different challenge. 

Joanna writes, ‘I am passionate about education and am an advocate for ensuring all young people have access to the best opportunities a school can offer. I have been lucky enough to mentor three sandwich year finance University students while at LGT, and as an employee of one of the boroughs biggest employees I am keen to harness any opportunities for collaboration across the Federation that could increase opportunities for our young people.’
